Description
We’re currently looking for Customer Service Representatives who love helping people and can keep things running smoothly. You’ll be providing knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient support to retail customers, garden centers, and e-commerce shoppers. This role requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and a passion for helping customers succeed in their gardening journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat regarding orders, product information, shipping, and returns.
- Provide accurate guidance on seed varieties, planting instructions, and seasonal availability.
- Resolve customer issues efficiently while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
- Process orders, refunds, and replacements in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with fulfillment and inventory teams to ensure timely order delivery and accuracy.
- Record all customer interactions and feedback in CRM for continuous improvement.
- Educate customers about Burpee’s online resources, gardening tips, and loyalty programs.
- Support peak seasonal call volume during the spring and summer months.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Must have at least 1–3 years of customer service experience (retail, e-commerce, or call center preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency; experience with CRM systems and order management tools.
- Genuine interest in gardening, horticulture, or home improvement is a plus
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure during busy seasons.
