Job Summary
KS2 – 5
We are seeking a dedicated and patient Tutor to provide personalised academic support to students across a variety of subjects. The successful candidate will help learners develop their skills, build confidence, and achieve their educational goals. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on students’ lives through tailored instruction and encouragement.
Duties
- Deliver one-on-one or group tutoring sessions in designated subjects, adapting teaching methods to meet individual student needs
- Assess students’ strengths and areas for improvement, developing customised lesson plans accordingly
- Support students with homework, exam preparation, and skill development exercises
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and confidence
- Track progress and provide constructive feedback to students and, where applicable, to parents or guardians
- Maintain organised records of tutoring sessions and student achievements
- Stay updated on curriculum changes and utilise effective teaching resources
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with children or young learners
- Knowledge of specialised education needs, including special education strategies, is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain concepts and motivate students
- Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for helping others learn
- Organised with strong time management skills to plan effective lessons
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or subject-specific areas are desirable but not essential
