Remote Front of Desk Receptionist – Boutique Smart Hotels
Location: Remote (Merseyside, Edinburgh based preferred)
Contract Type: Self-Employed / Freelance
Hours: 2 days per week – flexible hours varying throughout the day
Pay: To be discussed based on experience

We’re now looking for a friendly, professional, and flexible Remote Front of Desk Receptionist to help us deliver exceptional guest experiences from behind the scenes.
About the Role
This role is perfect for someone who loves hospitality and enjoys connecting with guests virtually. You’ll be the first point of contact for our guests—handling enquiries, managing bookings, and ensuring every interaction reflects the warmth and quality of our brand.
The hours will vary depending on guest communications, so flexibility is key. You’ll be working remotely but very much as part of our small, dedicated team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Welcoming guests through calls, emails, and messages with genuine warmth and professionalism
- Managing reservations via our Property Management System (PMS) and booking platforms (e.g. Booking.com, Expedia, )
- Coordinating with on-site teams to ensure a smooth guest experience
- Supporting check-ins and check-outs remotely
- Handling guest requests or issues with care and efficiency
- Maintaining clear and friendly communication across all channels
What We’re Looking For
- Hospitality experience – ideally in boutique or high-end hotels
- Confident using property management systems and online booking platforms
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- A calm, friendly, and professional manner
- Flexibility – hours will vary across mornings, afternoons, and evenings
- Reliable, organised, and self-motivated
- Must be eligible to work on a self-employed basis
- Strong internet connection and professional home setup
